Meghan Markle’s father WILL walk daughter down the aisle despite leg problems — confirm his family
MEGHAN Markle’s dad will walk his daughter down the aisle despite leg problems, his family revealed yesterday.
Thomas Markle, 73, has been fighting a bad knee and has not been seen in public since Meghan began dating Harry.
His brother Michael, 78, from Palm Bay, Florida, told The Sun On Sunday: “I know Thomas feels happy and excited about the engagement.
“He and Meghan have a good relationship, and they talk weekly so she keeps him up to date.”
Family members said Thomas splits his time between Rosarito Beach in Mexico and LA.
Twice-married Thomas has yet to meet Harry.
But he has told his family they will be invited to the ceremony in May.
Thomas is a retired TV lighting director who has worked on top US shows including Married with Children and General Hospital.
He won an Emmy Award for his lighting work on the medical drama in 2011.
In September last year he was declared bankrupt, with records showing over £24,000 of debts.
