A JAILED hotel owner dubbed the female Basil Fawlty has moaned about prison life.
Former barrister Shirley Bothroyd is serving 22 weeks for attacking three staff and is on remand for alleged arson.
She wrote: “Prison is a scary place, particularly for a beginner with her legal background.
“I have been the victim of bullying and threats or worse.”
She complains about boredom and her cellmate snoring at Eastwood Park Prison near Bristol.
And she says she is writing poetry “at a level that will be understood by my fellow inmates”.

Bothroyd, 59, blamed her foul-mouthed rages at the Bay Hotel in Teignmouth, Devon, on her drinks being spiked.
She denies threatening to damage property and arson, and is due to stand trial on January 29.
