Twitter explodes with Ricicles memes
The news hasn't gone down well with customers left furious over the breakfast giant's decision
SOCIAL MEDIA was flooded with hilarious memes after Kellogg's announced it was axing favourite childhood cereal Ricicles.
The breakfast giant made the move in a bid to combat Britain's obesity problem.
This afternoon saw Ricicles fans post amusing videos on Twitter as they reacted to the news.
They ranged from crying men saying goodbye to the cereal, to some famous faces and even song lyric changes to a Freddie Mercury classic to add some humour.
The announcement that Ricicles is to be discontinued came after Kellogg's slashed the sugar content of three of its top selling children's cereals by up to 40 per cent.
Kellogg UK's managing director Oli Morton said the company recognised "based on national dietary survey data, that people are eating too much sugar at breakfast and throughout the day".
