Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding – all the unanswered questions we’re dying to know about
AFTER Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement yesterday, speculation has already been growing surrounding their big day.
Following an adorable first interview with the smitten royal and his American actress fiancée last night, the couple today confirmed their wedding will take place in Spring next year.
Here are all the answers to all the questions you've been dying to ask about the big day.
What exact date will the wedding be on?
Since going public with their relationship last November, just four months after they first met, the young lovebirds have so far enjoyed a whirlwind romance.
And their fast-moving pace isn't set to slow down anytime soon.
Just one day after announcing their engagement on Monday 27 November, the couple revealed they will tie the knot in May 2018.
Although an exact date has not yet revealed, the couple are unlikely to choose 2 May, which would clash with Princess Charlotte's third birthday.
Other dates unlikely to be in the running are 3 May, when local government elections are held, and the month's first bank holiday, 7 May, which is thought to be too close to Kate Middleton's April due date.
However, with Downing Street disappointing the nation by announcing there are no plans for an extra day off for the celebrations, May's second existing bank holiday 28 May could be a contender.
Will Prince William be the best man?
When Prince William wed Kate Middleton in 2011, he asked younger brother Prince Harry to be his best man, which was branded an obvious choice by royal historian Hugo Vickers.
Speaking to AFP at the time, he said: "Normally, a member of the royal family has his brothers as his supporters, or joint best men."
As such, it seems likely that Harry will keep to tradition and repay the favour in asking Wills to be by his side when he marries the 36-year-old Suits star.
Bookies Ladbrokes currently has 1/10 odds on the future King stepping up to be Harry's best man.
What role will George and Charlotte have in the wedding?
A Kensington Palace spokesperson revealed Meghan has already met Prince Harry's adorable niece and nephew Princess Charlotte and Prince George.
The tots, who will have welcomed a baby sibling by the time of the wedding, are likely to play a part in the part in the bridal party.
Currently, Labrokes has 1/5 odds on both George, four, being a page boy, and Charlotte, two, being a flower girl.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children both already have experience in the roles, from their aunt Pippa Middleton's wedding to James Matthew earlier this year.
Who will be Meghan's bridesmaids?
Meghan has just one half-sister, 52-year-old Samantha Grant, also known as Samantha Markle, with whom she shares the same dad.
But it's unlikely that the former actress and model will play a key role in the couple's wedding, having previously branded Meghan a "shallow social climber".
The sisters have reportedly not spoken in almost a decade, and Samantha told the she does not know if she'll receive an invite to the big day.
Friends of the Suits star who are tipped to don bridesmaid dresses include Star Wars actress Janina Gavankar, with whom Meghan has a 15-year close friendship, and Meghan's close friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney.
Other contenders include Meghan's fitness instructor heather Dorak, former reality star Millie Mackintosh, and tennis pro Serena Williams.
Where will they go on their honeymoon?
Nobody would be surprised if the smitten couple headed to Botswana after getting hitched, as it's a country close to their hearts.
The Prince revealed he had whisked Meghan away for a few days in the African nation last summer, just three or four weeks after their first dates.
The couple returned in August of this year, when they spent three weeks camping out to celebrate Meghan's 36th birthday.
And the romantic prince even designed his fiancée's ring to include a diamond from Botswana.
Other possible destinations include Norway, where they enjoyed their first holiday as an official couple, and Jamaica, where they watched Harry's best friend Tom 'Skippy' Inskip tie the knot in March.
How many people will attend the wedding and which famous guests will attend?
The couple have opted for a much smaller venue than that of Prince William and Kate Middleton, who tied the knot in front of 1,900 guests at Westminster Abbey.
Harry and Meghan will instead get married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, which has a capacity of just 800.
Amongst those likely to be invited to sit on Prince Harry's side of the church are best friend and nightclub owner Guy Pellier, Barack and Michelle Obama and James Blunt.
Whilst Meghan's guest list is expected to include fashion designer Misha Nonoo, who reportedly introduced the pair, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, and Benita Litt - who made Meghan godmother of her two children.
