Although the pair didn't name the mystery pal, it is appears likely they were set up by designer Nonoo, who is married to Etonian Alexander Gilkes.

Gilkes went to the posh school with both Harry and William - and attended the Duke of Cambridge's wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011.

His younger brother Charlie also dated Pippa Middleton, while New York-based designer Nonoo is a close pal of Meghan's.

Meghan, 36, even wore one of Nonoo's designs when she made her first official public appearance with Harry at the Invictus games.

Speaking about the royal matchmaker, who they haven't named, in their first ever joint interview yesterday, Harry said: "It was through her and then we met once and then twice back to back two dates in London, last July.

"And then it was I think about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana.

"And we - we camped out with each other under the stars, we spent - she came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic."

"It was this beautiful woman just sort of literally tripped and fell into my life - I fell into her life."

They revealed in the interview with the BBC that Harry popped the question while they were roasting a chicken on a "cosy night in".
