MEGHAN Markle faces a £1,000 visa bill to come and live in Britain.

Home Office officials were tight-lipped over whether the fee would be waived.

Asked on Monday, the Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “You can direct that question to the Home Office”.

A Home Office spokeswoman later said they did not comment on “individual cases”.

But according to official guidelines, visas cost £993 and take up to 12 weeks, or £1,583 for a speedier premium service.

It’s not known whether Ms Markle is in Britain on a visitor’s visa.

She has been living in Canada where she was filming Suits.

The Canadian Premier Justin Trudeau sent his congratulations and best wishes to the couple.

But there was no congratulatory tweet from the US President Donald Trump.
