George Michael’s family consider giving his £5million London home to his lover Fadi Fawaz — in a bid to ‘stop his book’

GEORGE Michael’s family are considering giving his £5million London home to his lover Fadi Fawaz to keep him onside, a source has revealed.

The star’s relatives looked at booting him out of the Regent’s Park mansion but fear he could air harmful allegations in public.

By letting him stay there, and offering him a retainer of up to £250,000 a year, they hope he will remain tight-lipped about his time with the star, the source added.

Fadi, 44, who found George dead aged 53 on Christmas Day last year, was said to be writing a book about his tragic death.

A source said: “George’s relatives decided a good option is to keep Fadi happy by offering him the house.

They want him to agree to it and keep quiet about George’s death.

“They don’t want him to do a book or an explosive tell-all interview and reluctantly feel this is the best way forward.

";They don’t want anything to taint George’s legacy.”

Tweets posted last New Year’s Eve by Fadi, with George, suggested the star may have killed himself at his home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxon.

A coroner later ruled he died of natural causes but had heart and liver problems.

A full toxicology report has not been released.
