Fashion magazine Vogue threatens to sue a nightclub in Burnley with the same name

FASHION mag Vogue has threatened to sue a nightclub with the same name in down-to-earth Burnley.
Rebecca McQuoid and husband Jason, 26, have owned the weekend haunt since 2012.
But they were astonished to receive a letter accusing them of breaching the glossy’s copyright and ordering them to lose the name Vogue by the New Year.
Rebecca, 28, said: “No one’s going to think, ‘I wonder if Kate Moss is at Vogue Burnley this week?’
"Everyone knows it’s nothing to do with the magazine.
"It’s bullying.

"They’ve made their millions, they don’t care about a little business trying to make something in Burnley.”
The couple, who live in a £90,000 terrace, cannot afford a legal fight so are rushing to rebrand under a new name.
Publisher Conde Nast said: “We do not comment on pending disputes.”
Cafe Potter Row
Hollywood giant Warner Bros has been accused of bullying a family-run cafe over its Harry Potter tea parties.
The global entertainment firm forced the business to change the name of its weekly Harry Potter Afternoon Tea, saying it breached copyright laws.
The Flower Cafe in Plymouth started the Friday teas a month ago, where visitors wear Harry Potter costumes.
The event will now be known as the Wizards’ Afternoon Tea.
The cafe said on Facebook: “We’re now awaiting an email from the Big Guy in the North Pole to tell us we can’t say Christmas Afternoon Tea.”
