Stricken lad gets bike brake lever jammed up his NOSE after falling onto his handlebars when he broke too hard
Footage shot by the rescuers in China's Yangzhou City shows the schoolboy whimpering with pain as firemen painstakingly try to remove a four-inch brake lever from his nose
THIS is the shocking moment rescuers battled to save a boy who impaled his face on his bicycle's handlebars after a crash.
Footage shot by the rescuers in China's Yangzhou City shows the schoolboy whimpering with pain as a four-inch brake lever protrudes from his right nostril.
The stricken schoolboy was discovered in a pool of blood by a shopping centre security guard, who comforted him while the fire service arrived.
Eyewitnesses claim he braked too violently and fell forwards onto the handlebar, with the one plastic brake lever jamming itself deep up the child’s nose.
The lever could not be removed as it had lodged itself in his nasal cavity, causing serious bleeding in the process.
Shocked firemen were forced to dismantle the bike piece-by-piece to fit the lad in an ambulance, leaving the brake lever in place for the duration of the journey to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
