ACTOR Robert Lindsay revealed his friend's daughter was targeted with with a potentially fatal new date rape drug.
He said the substance, which The Sun has decided not to name, is blown in victims' faces through a straw.
He tweeted it "can be fatal in small doses especially mixed with alcohol", adding it "is being described as the new date rape drug" which is "blown through a tube".
He later deleted the tweet, which included a reference to the drug, which The Sun has decided to omit.
Earlier the British star issued a chilling warning on Twitter after three men blew a substance in the face of a friend's daughter outside a London club.
He wrote: "WARNING! A friends daughter was recently approached by 3 men outside a London club and a substance blown into her face, in her shock she inhaled.
"It was a date rape drug. She was saved but girls beware."
The 67-year-old actor added: "Friends came to her aid but within seconds she lost all her sense and couldn't remember a thing."
Shocked people responded to his warning saying it is "alarming" and they were glad she had friends with her.
One person tweeted: "That's awful I'm glad she was ok but she must be feeling very shocked and anxious.
"Thank you for sharing the info."
Another said: "Oh that is shocking, thanks for warning everybody."
The Metropolitan Police were unable confirm this attack as the actor had not shared details of when or where it took place.
The Sun has previously reported on a tasteless power known as "devil's breath" which paralyses victims and wipes their memory.
It it not know which substance the actor is referring to in his warning, but this drug has been used in sexual assaults and other crimes.
Devil's breath comes as a fine white powder which is blown into the victim's face or used to spike food and drinks, and renders people helpless within minutes.
The drug, made from the seeds of the Brugmansia tree, is mainly produced in Colombia. It has been reported some 50,000 people fall victim to the drug a year.
