Sex offender doctor avoids being struck off after molesting nurse
Father-of-two Imran Qureshi, 44, grabbed the 21-year-old nurse's breast and told her he wanted an affair
A DOCTOR convicted of molesting a nurse has avoided being struck off.
Married father-of-two Imran Qureshi, 44, had grabbed the 21-year-old’s breast and told her he wanted an affair.
He was ordered to sign the sex offenders register after being convicted of sexual assault last year over the incident at Trafford General Hospital.
But at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in Manchester, Qureshi escaped with a 12-month suspension.
He offered a “sincere apology” to his victim.
The Pakistani doctor had blamed different “cultural norms”.
