Meghan Markle's incredible rise to fame was made possible by her dad's secret £565,000 lottery win, according to her half-brother Tom.
The Suits actress was able to go to top schools and college after her father Tom Sr, 73, scooped the cash when she was just nine years old.
Tom Jr, 51, said the spectacular stoke of good fortune paved the way for Meghan, 36, to become a star and meet Prince Harry.
He told the Mail on Sunday: "If Meg marries Harry she'll have won the lottery of life but dad winning the lottery helped us all.
"That money allowed Meg to go to the best schools and get the best training.
"She's was always the family's princess but now she's going to be a real princess and I couldn't be more proud."
Meghan and Prince Harry have been together for 18 months and insiders expect them to announce their engagement soon.
The actress is reportedly preparing to move her two dogs - labrador/shepherd mix Bogart and 17lb beagle Guy - to London so she can be closer to her Royal boyfriend.
