Mum-of-three Priya and daughter Scarlett were enjoying a quiet evening in when three men wearing balaclavas burst into their home, binding them with cable ties and threatening them.

Scarlett, then only 17, told she was only alerted to the robber's presence when the family's cat bolted from the room and the dog started growling.

She said: "I went to check the kitchen to see what was wrong.

"I saw them . . . and started to scream."

The teen feared she was going to be raped as she was dragged into another room whilst desperate Priya begged the thieves not to harm her daughter.

Priya was forced to kneel against the wall, gagged and covered in Clingfilm and duct tape whilst Scarlett had been tied up and bound against a radiator.

In one shocking moment, a robber opened Scarlett's dressing gown, pulled her legs apart and started to run his hand up her thigh.

She said: "I thought he was going to rape me.

"He told me to be quiet but instinct took over and I screamed my heart out and tried to wrestle away."

She said: ";I had this lightbulb moment. I thought, “My God it’s HER. It has to be."

Despite spending three years leading a double life with Karine behind Priya's back, Robert now won't even use her name, only referring to her as 'The Russian.'

Priya now says she struggles not to blame her husband for what happened - and knows they do not have a future together.

Disgraced Robert said: "‘The simple fact is that this woman and I were both married and we began an affair.

"I wish I had never met her, although of course it is a bit late for that.

"I just feel so guilty for putting my wife and children through this but no amount of apologies will ever be enough.

"She’s ruined the family."

Solloway was found guilty of conspiracy to rob this week, where the court heard she had lent the UK businessman and former lover £850,000 during their affair to pay his legal costs after he became locked in a financial dispute over one of his business interests, and became “obsessed” with getting her money back.

Solloway had hired ex-soldier Paul Prior in September to conduct the raid, with the man admitting to conspiracy to rob at a previous hearing.

Both Solloway and Prior are now expected to be sentenced to time behind bars for the robbery when they face court again next month.
