Farting drugs suspect in Kansas halts police investigation by breaking wind so ‘violently’ he gets released

Officers stopped interviewing Sean Sykes Junior and did not file charges after he was held for possession of cocaine, marijuana and two handguns

POLICE had to stop interviewing an arrested drugs suspect when he wouldn’t stop farting.

Officers called a halt to their questioning as Sean Sykes Junior repeatedly answered by breaking wind.

Officers had held the 24- year-old for possession of cocaine, marijuana and two handguns — one a stolen Magnum discovered in his car.

The local paper in Kansas City, US, reports officers noted that, on being asked his name and address after being pulled over, he let rip “violently”.

In his report about the September interview, a detective wrote: “Mr Sykes leaned to one side of his chair and released a loud fart before answering.”

He added: “Mr Sykes continued to be flatulent and I ended the interview.”

Charges were not filed and Sykes — who denied wrongdoing in between his flatulent outbursts — was released.

But he was pulled over again on November 5 and police reportedly found marijuana, crack cocaine and a stolen gun.

Sykes made an initial court appearance last week and is currently in custody pending a further hearing.
