A MAN accused of raping and murdering his girlfriend's one-year-old daughter has been indicted.
Sick Joshua Gurto, 37, could face the death penalty if found guilty of the heinous crime.
An Ohio prosecutor said on Thursday that sicko had been indicted on eight charges including two counts of aggravated murder; three counts of murder; one count of rape; one count of felonious assault; and one count of domestic violence.
Cops caught up with Gurto in Pennsylvania, US, after he spent three weeks on the run following the death of Sereniti Jazzlynn-Sky Blankenship-Sutley.
Cops have said the tot died from a blunt force trauma to the head in Ohio on October 7.
After being questioned Gurto scarpered and cops launched a manhunt eventually tracking him down 120 miles from where the youngster died, reports.
He was arrested at a petrol station after being recognised by a police officer.
He was taken into custody without putting up a fight.
Cops said he had been hiding out in woodland after hitching a lift and maps were found on him.
Gurto was dating the tot's 22-year-old mum, who is not facing any charges, at the time of Sereniti's death.
A $5,000 reward had been offered for information that led to his capture.
The prosecutor's office said Gurto's arraignment will take place "in the near future".
