Croydon cat killer strikes AGAIN… this time killing a pet rabbit and leaving its mutilated remains next to its child owner’s Wendy house

POLICE are investigating claims the sick Croydon cat killer has striked again - this time murdering a pet RABBIT.

In a disturbing twist, loveable bunny Teddy's mutilated body was disgustingly placed next to his little owner's toy Wendy house for her to find.

Animal group Snarl, who alongside police are investigating the recent spate of animal deaths in the south east of England, believe Teddy was murdered by the Croydon cat killer.

Teddy's devastated owner, who wished to remain anonymous, said it was "beyond comprehension" that someone could have climbed into the family's Hertfordshire garden and committed the horrific crime.

She added that Teddy was "one of a kind, truly special."

The lionheart rabbit's death is just one of 250 murders of cats, rabbits and foxes since October 2015.

Head of Snarl Tony Jenkins described the person responsible for the murders as "a very clever psychopath."

"He is forensically aware, avoids CCTV and might well travel as part of his job.

"It is most likely Teddy was killed by this same person.

Shockingly, the murder could be the second carried out by the Croydon cat killer in just a few weeks.

Last month, police confirmed they had linked the death of cat Taz, also from Hertfordshire, to the evil killer.

There is currently a £10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the killer, who since 2015 may have killed more than 200 cats across the UK.

"I can't bear it.

"We have to catch him."

The Met Police have launched Operation Takahe to track down the fiend committing the attacks, with corpses of some of the victims being examined by experts for evidence.
