Amir Khan’s pregnant estranged wife Faryal Makhdoom poses in a glitzy wedding gown weeks after bitter split from boxer
PREGNANT Faryal Makhdoom has shown off her tiny bump as she dressed up in an array of glitzy wedding gowns today.
The 26-year-old, who split from boxer husband Amir Khan earlier this year, shared the behind the scene snaps from her shoot with Pakistani designer label Sobia Nazir.
She looked stunning as she modelled a range of bejewelled dresses while delicately covering her three-month baby bump.
On her Snapchat story, Faryal describes the outfits and jewellery as “gorgeous” and “stunning” while showcasing what she’s about to try on.
Her followers are then given a behind the scenes look at her wearing them for the photoshoot in London.
Faryal and Amir split up earlier this year in a string of explosive tweets in which Khan accused his wife of cheating on him with fellow boxing star Anthony Joshua.
She had hit out at the former light-welterweight world champion, claiming he had repeatedly slept with other women during their four-year marriage, writing: “After all these years. I’ve always defending a cheat, always stuck around for him, always had his back.”
But in September, Khan shattered her hopes of resurrecting their marriage as he confirmed they are still getting a divorce.
She broke her silence earlier this week for the first time since the split, where she revealed she plans to raise her and Amir’s three-year-old daughter Lamaisah to be “independent and strong”.
She told : “In life you go through really hard times and realise that you come into this world alone and you leave alone. So, I want my daughter to be an independent and strong woman.
“It’s so important to concentrate on her studies and be independent and be an example for us Muslim women.
“Sometimes you need a man to depend on in certain cultures and religion but I think the most important thing is to be your own person.”
Faryal had said she wanted to get back together for the sake of their unborn child and apologised to her in-laws for their bitter war of words.
But boxing champ Khan tweeted hours later: “Unfortunately it didn’t work out between Me and Faryal and we are still going ahead with the divorce. We are in good talking terms.
“We have to think about our daughter Lamaisah who I will always be there for. I wish Faryal all the very best for the future.”
She has previously told Khan that she will move back to New York with their daughter if he files for divorce.
