HARVEY Weinstein has been accused of sex attacks on seven British women, Scotland Yard confirmed.
The probe into the Hollywood producer has been stepped up after more women came forward with the latest allegation relating to an assault in Westminster in 1994.
The investigation is focusing on 11 separate allegations of sexual assault between the 1980s and 2015, with two of the latest claims said to have taken place outside the UK.
It was first launched earlier this month after an actress now living in Liverpool claimed she was sexually assaulted by the mogul.
British actress Lysette Anthony publicly alleged she was raped by Weinstein when the film producer showed up at her house in the 1980s.
The Hollyoaks’ actress, 54, claimed the producer first tried assaulting her at his rented home in Chelsea before arriving at her own London home when she was wearing just a dressing gown.
Weinstein, 65, has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.
He has not been named by Scotland Yard, who said a further four women came forward to make allegations of sexual assault in the past two weeks.
In a statement, the force said that on October 20 it received an allegation that a man sexually assaulted a woman outside the jurisdiction of the UK in the early 1980s.
Another claim was made by a woman on October 24, who said she was assaulted in Westminster in the mid-1990s.
The Met also said it received allegations on October 26 that the man sexually assaulted a woman outside the jurisdiction of the UK in 2012 and then in Westminster in 2013 and 2014.
On 28 October an allegation was received that the man sexually assaulted a woman in Westminster in 1994.
There have been no arrests.
