A LABOUR council has been blasted for throwing a Halloween fancy dress party for jobless parents and their kids.

Flyers given to primary schools and through letterboxes made it clear who was invited.

The flyer sent by Hull council sparked fury among locals

One Hull woman moaned: “I had to tell my son he couldn’t go as Mummy and Daddy work.

“He said, ‘Stop working. It’s not fair’. What work ethic does it show kids?”

Another said: “All kids should be treated alike for these things.”
