A British newspaper received a mystery call 25 minutes before JFK was shot

A BRITISH newspaper received a mysterious phone call warning them something “big” was going to happen to the US – 25 minutes before JFK was shot.

A reporter at Cambridge News told cops he received the call shortly after 6pm on November 22, 1963, according to a document released by the US government.

Writing to the director of the FBI just days after the assassination, CIA deputy director (plans), James Angleton relayed information passed to him by MI5.

He wrote: “The caller said only that the Cambridge News reporter should call the American Embassy in London for some big news and then hung up.”

After news broke about Kennedy’s killing, the shocked reporter told Brit cops about the chilling call.

The document continues: “The important point is that the call was made, according to MI5 calculations, about 25 minutes before the president was shot.”

Angleton added: “The Cambridge reporter had never received a call of this nature before and MI5 state that he is known to them as a sound and loyal person with no security record.”

The document was one of 2,800 records relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy to be released today.

Another of the records claims the US president’s killer, Lee Harvey Oswald met with a KGB agent responsible for assassinations around two months before the killing.

Communist Oswald, who was arrested for shooting President Kennedy on November 22, 1963, attended the Soviet Embassy in Mexico City on September 28.

The FBI files revealed Oswald met with Valeriy Vladimirovich Kostikov, a senior KGB agent who was known to have worked for the KGB's 13th department - which was responsible for assassinations.

In another document, it is sensationally revealed that the FBI learned of the meeting on October 1 of that year - more than a month before the killing that shocked the world.
