CELEBRITY chef Anthony Bourdain has launched an astonishing attack on James Corden over the British comic's tasteless Harvey Weinstein gags at a recent gala.
Bourdain labelled the 39-year-old a "pandering tool" and an "a**hole" for his string of offensive jokes about the Weinstein allegations.
The Brit comedian last week apologised for the gags made while hosting the AmfAR Gala in Los Angeles, saying he was "truly sorry" to anyone offended by his comments.
Bourdain took to Twitter to berate Corden in a string of tweets.
He wrote: "James Corden reveals snickering Hollywood in all its grotesquerie . It's not about masturbation, a**hole. It's about rape.
"James Corden gonna have trouble booking 'talent' at a methadone clinic after this. #turddumpling."
"Mr. Corden is free to tell whatever jokes he likes. As he should be. I'm free to suggest he's a porcine, pandering tool .#lowhangingfruit."
He also attacked those who refused to condemn Corden's jokes, writing: "Thing about @JKCorden: when he was sweatily dribbling out rape jokes, NOONE stood up and said, "f*** you, Pop'n'Fresh!"
Footage of the glitzy awards ceremony shows Corden saying: "It’s a beautiful night here in LA - so beautiful, Harvey Weinstein has already asked 'tonight' up to his hotel to give him a massage."
The joke was a reference to claims made by several female celebs against the Hollywood producer, who they said sexually harassed them.
The audience can be heard groaning uncomfortably after the joke.
But Corden ploughs ahead regardless, urging those present to "leave now" if they didn’t find it funny.
Corden continued: “It has been weird this week though, watching Harvey Weinstein in hot water.
"Ask any of the women who watched him take a bath."
The comic was referring to claims made by actress Ashley Judd, who said Weinstein begged her to watch him shower.
In a statement issued following the outrage, Corden said: "To be clear, sexual assault is no laughing matter.
"I was not trying to make light of Harvey’s inexcusable behaviour, but to shame him, the abuser, not his victims. I am truly sorry for anyone offended, that was never my intention."
Weinstein has reportedly checked into an Arizona rehab clinic as multiple police forces open probes into his alleged attacks.
