Oscar-winning actor caught up in Weinstein sex abuse scandal as top US broadcaster accuses him of assaulting a loved one
AN Oscar-winning actor has become embroiled in the Harvey Weinstein sex abuse scandal.
The Hollywood A-lister was accused by a top US broadcaster of assaulting a loved one.
In a reference to Weinstein, she said on social media it was “time the dominoes fell”. We are not naming the star or his accuser for legal reasons.
But an insider said: “Rumours about this actor have circulated for years.
“Lots of people are making allegations after what’s happened with Weinstein.
“But no alleged victim of this particular man has spoken publicly as yet.”
The A-lister’s outing came as it emerged yesterday:
- BRIT actress Andrea Riseborough said she experiences “sexually inappropriate behaviour” every week
- EX-Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones compared the band to a “prostitution ring”
- NYPD revealed they are now probing two new allegations against Weinstein
- SCOTLAND Yard is investigating five sexual assault claims against him from three British women
- BRIT telly star Jessica Hynes accused Weinstein of forcing her to audition in a bikini aged 19
Hollywood has been rocked by a series of allegations of sexual assault levelled at Weinstein.
The prolific producer was until recently considered one of the most powerful figures in Tinseltown.
But he now faces investigation after dozens of women - many of them actresses - claimed Weinstein acted inappropriately with them.

Several women have claimed they were raped by the 65-year-old.
Stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Kate Beckinsale have alleged they were the victims of Weinstein's sexual advances.
Yesterday, Brit star Kate Winslet revealed how she refused to thank the 65-year-old in her 2009 Oscars acceptance speech.
She told the LA Times: "He was bullying and nasty.
"The fact that I’m never going to have to deal with Harvey Weinstein again as long as I live is one of the best things that’s ever happened and I'm sure the feeling is universal."
