Six people have been arrested over the shooting on Saturday afternoon in Kettering, Northants.

Nearby newsagent Jay Goswami raced outside when he heard the shot.

He said: “There was a white van parked there and a guy was collapsed on the floor. He had blood around his leg.”

The victim was taken to University Hospital, Coventry, where surgeons battled in vain to save his leg.

Northants Police were last night quizzing five men, aged 32, 35, 38, 45 and 60 plus a woman, 28.
