Fears for two missing schoolgirls Leah Dixon, 14, and Jasmine Agnew, 12 who vanished as mum fears they ‘planned disappearance’
Leah's mum has issued a frantic appeal for information on Facebook after the schoolgirls were last seen last night
FEARS are growing for a 14-year-old schoolgirl and her 12-year-old pal after they vanished from home last night.
Leah Dixon and Jasmine Agnew were last seen around 6pm in Renfewshire.
Cops have launched a frantic search for the two girls as Leah's mum Pauline said she feared the two girls may have planned their disappearance "in advance".
She wrote on Facebook: "My 14 year old daughter Leah Dixon has been missing since tea time Friday evening.
"Her friend is also missing and we think that this is something they have planned in advance.
"The police have searched all of the places she usually hangs about and have had no luck."
She continued: "We have heard that she may have travelled to Falkirk/Airdrie and be in a flat in this area.
"Please share this information with your sons and daughters if they know Leah or her friends and if they have seen or been in contact with her in the last day.
"Please share this post as far and wide as you can. Any information no mater how small will be greatly appreciated."
Leah was last seen in Paisley at around 9am on Friday morning.
Her friend Jasmine, also known as Jasmine McGowan, hasn't been seen since she left her home at 3pm on Friday.
Leah is around 5ft 6ins with a slim build. She has long brown hair and was wearing black leggings, a grey long sleeved shirt, black Nike trainers, a black Parka jacket with a fur lined hood and carrying a camouflaged bag.
Jasmine is around 5ft 6ins in height with a slim build. She has brown wavy hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a black Puffer jacket and black skinny jeans.
Inspector Steven Espie said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the girls given their age and that fact that no-one has heard from them.
"We are checking relevant CCTV footage for any additional information and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the girl to contact us.
"We believe they may have got on a bus and travelled to Falkirk and we are undertaking enquiries to ascertain if that is the case.”
