Shameful moment yobs filmed singing ‘Scott Brown’s got McCann’ as they brand Scottish footballer a ‘paedo’
Shocking footage has emerged online appearing to show the men chanting about the Scotland skipper in Vilnius, just hours after England beat Lithuania 1 - 0
THIS is the shameful moment yobs were filmed calling Celtic and Scotland midfielder Scott Brown a "paedophile" and chanting he's "got McCann", in a Lithuanian pub.
The vile footage was posted on Twitter on Monday morning, just hours after Scotland crashed out of contention for the World Cup, and has since gone viral.
Shared on social media by England football fan Reece Turner, whose profile description reads "follow England away", the clip has now racked up almost 2,000 likes and retweets.
It was shared with the caption: "Scott Brown's got McCann," which is believed to be a reference to missing Madeleine McCann.
The video shows a large group of men drinking and chanting the slur while standing on a table.
One punter replied to the clip saying: "hahahaha howling".
We told you yesterday how Madeleine McCann's parents have been bombarded with hate mail from trolls in the wake of police being given
The official website set up to find Maddie, endorsed by Kate and Gerry, posted earlier this week: “We’ve been barraged with hate via Facebook.”
Maddie’ parents begged trolls to stop plaguing them with vile abuse only two months ago saying it was “so awful and upsetting.”
It subsided but flared up just days after the Home Office announced it was handing Scotland Yard an additional £154,000 to keep the hunt for the missing youngster going for the next six months.
