He managed to capture the moment on his mobile phone before the mouse disappeared from sight.

Posting the footage on Twitter from the LHR T5 business lounge, Matthew said: "Come on @British_Airways.

"This isn't what you expect to see in the business lounge!"

An airline spokesman replied saying they would "feed this back" to management.

When contacted by the Sun Online, a BA spokesman added: "Our lounge admissions policy is very strict, so we are sorry this little traveller got in under the radar.
"We’ve asked our team to make sure uninvited guests don’t get past the door in future."

It has been a tough few weeks for families travelling abroad this summer.

On Monday, Britain's oldest airline Monarch collapsed, sparking the country’s biggest peacetime repatriation.

Holidaymakers, newlyweds and stag parties were among 110,000 passengers stranded as the company went into administration.

Before that, Ryanair disrupted the plans of more than 700,000 passengers by failing to have enough standby pilots to ensure the smooth operation of its schedule.

Chief operations officer Michael Hickey was responsible for overseeing rotas and staffing when the disruptions began, but he will now leave the company at the end of the month.

He was the first executive to leave since the staffing disaster led to the cancellation of thousands of flights.
