Charles Bronson granted wish to MARRY his soap star girlfriend at high security prison… but there are quite a few rules for the big day
BRITAIN'S most notorious prisoner Charles Bronson has been told he can marry his soap star girlfriend at his high security prison next month, it's been reported.
The 64-year-old and ex-Coronation Street star Paula Williamson, 37, will hold their wedding inside HMP Wakefield on November 14 after getting permission from the governor.
But as it's a jailhouse ceremony, the criminal - who changed his name to Charles Salvador after his artist idol - will remain handcuffed to a warden throughout.
A reception will be held at a local hotel, but Paula will have to celebrate with friends will her new husband is returned to his cell.
A source told the : "Paula and Charlie are delighted that they’ve finally set their wedding date and can become Mr and Mrs Salvador.
"Their only regret is that they aren’t allowed a honeymoon – a conjugal visit to consummate their marriage or conceive the child they both dream of."
Armed robber Bronson has been behind bars for 41 years, 37 in solitary confinement, after repeatedly having his sentence increased for attacking prison staff and taking them hostage.
Bronson and Paula, from Stoke-on-Trent, began writing to each other in 2013 before he proposed on Valentine's Day this year.
She appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about her plans to have IVF to have the thug's baby.
Bronson already has a son named Mike who was born before he was jailed for the first time in 1974 for armed robbery.
