Wayne Rooney party girl Laura Simpson’s boozy night on the tiles with Shrek mask-wearing pal revealed
WAYNE Rooney's party girl Laura Simpson was heard chanting "Rooney! Rooney!" as she re-enacted the infamous night she met the ex-England captain by kissing a pal wearing a shrek mask, a reveller claimed.
The mum-of-one gave a playful peck to her companion at a fashion party in Manchester.
Everton ace Rooney has suffered taunts throughout his career over his resemblance to the green ogre in the hit animated films.
But that didn’t prevent Laura from having a joke at his expense at the posh Neighbourhood bar last night.
An eyewitness at the do said: "It's fair to say Laura had had a few. She was in a right state and pretty rowdy.
"When she spotted the woman with the mask she shrieked, 'Come here you, I'm going to kill you'.
"But she soon saw the funny side and was chanting 'Rooney, Rooney' while posing for pics."
Sporting a figure-hugging outfit Simpson happily cavorted with a pal in a low-cut red number.
At one point she planted her lips on the latex mask before later putting it on herself.
She published the snap of herself earlier this week with the caption "throw back to the night I wish I stayed in".
The 29-year-old hit headlines last month after she enjoyed a boozy night out with Rooney, which ended in him being arrested and charged with drink-driving.
She hit the town in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, and met the striker in a bar, admitting she was "swept away" during the night where the former England captain danced on tables and belted out Oasis songs.
The pair were then stopped by police in the early hours as Rooney drove her home. She has since denied kissing the footballer - but previously told The Sun they shared a "kiss and a cuddle".
After a series of high profile holidays the office worker is continuing to make the most of her new found fame.
She is thought to be trying to get on Celebrity Big Brother - and has already had a secret meeting with producers.
A source exclusively told The Sun Online: “Laura seems dead set on keeping her short lived fame going.
"She has been for a meeting with producers of CBB to talk about getting onto the next series, but bosses seem less than impressed with her appearance on This Morning so the jury is out as to whether she will get a place.”
Laura received widespread criticism when she appeared on the daytime TV show amid the drama and declared she had done nothing wrong, and now in attempt at damage limitation Laura is trying to get herself an agent.
But her efforts to make a name for herself may be short lived as she is struggling to get representation.
The source continued: “The Rooney brand is a big and powerful one, to go against that with all of their money and resources to stop someone like Laura.
"Everyone is keeping well away from her, despite her emailing a lot of them to see if they will represent her.”
In a drastic move, she’s also been trying to get hold of Natalie and Stephen Rooney - Wayne’s cousins who famously fell out with him after Natalie flashed her boobs at a party for Coleen in 2007.
However despite her best efforts to reach out to them via social media she hasn’t had any joy and it seems the cousins want to avoid her as well.
“Laura wanted to get advice on how Wayne and Coleen work and operate to plan her next moves,” the source said.
“She thinks she can be in this business for a long time, but clearly they have both moved on and haven’t responded to her requests.”
Rooney said he had let his family down as he admitted drink-driving last month - after arriving at court still wearing his wedding ring.
The football star was flanked by a group of police officers as he strode into the court building - as party girl Laura Simpson was snapped with the VW Beetle Rooney was arrested in.
The 31-year-old arrived with his head down at Stockport Magistrates Court wearing a dark blue suit before pleading guilty.
He was banned from driving for two years and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
Simpson appeared on ITV’s This Morning to talk about how Wayne ended up with her in her VW Beetle.
She appeared on the show to tell all about her night out with Rooney last month, and made the hosts work hard to get complete answers to their questions.
The Sun On Sunday reported how Coleen branded party girl Laura a “fame-seeking slapper” after watching her TV interview this week.
