Bizarre ‘Bullingdon Club invitation letter found’ under student’s bed asking wannabe members asked to meet in a pub with a diamond and toy squirrel and order a pint of Champagne

A BIZARRE apparent invitation letter to join the infamous Bullingdon Club at Oxford University asks wannabe rich members to meet at a pub carrying a diamond and a toy squirrel.

This weird note reportedly found under a former student's bed asks prospective members to wear an all yellow suit and order a PINT of Champagne.

It is claimed the letter is an invitation to join the notorious all-male drinking society, which was founded in 1780.

This prestigious club, satirised in the film The Riot Club, has gained a reputation for staging wild nights and faced a backlash following reports its privileged members were burning cash in front of beggars.

University newspaper Cherwell - who the handwritten note - claim it is genuine, was penned two years ago and recently discovered under the former bed of a now third-year senior Bullingdon member.

It reads: "On the 29th of October, at exactly 1.30pm, you will be sat in the Lamb and Flag.

"You will be wearing a yellow shirt, a yellow suit, a yellow bow tie, yellow socks, and yellow shoes, holding a yellow rose in your lapel's buttonhole.

"You will have on your possession a smutty or left wing publication, a fake/real diamond, and a plush squirrel toy.

"Besides these you will carry nothing but your keys and passport.

"Upon arrival, you will order refreshments in the following sequence: a double whisky neat, a Boilermaker, a pint of champagne, a Boilermaker, and a double whiskey neat.

"Your progress will be monitored and having finished we will send instructions.

"You must commit to memory 10 alumni of the Bullingdon Club.

"Do not be late. Do not overlook any instruction.

"Valid we meet on the night, you are not speak to any member past or present, of the Bullingdon Club.

"Yours expectingly, The General."

There's a pub called the Lamb and Flag in Oxford city centre but it is not known if this is the venue in question.

Boris Johnson, referred to the club as "a truly shameful vignette of almost superhuman undergraduate arrogance, toffishness and twittishness" while Cameron admitted the infamous 1987 photo featuring him and Johnson made him "cringe".

It's reported that club uniforms cost £3,500.
