Newlywed couple horrified to find out their wedding photographer was jailed for stash of child sex abuse videos
David and Jennifer Skilton paid Philip Davidson £600 for their big day and admitted he seemed creepy
A NEWLYWED couple have been left horrified after finding out their wedding photographer has been jailed for a stash of child sex abuse videos.
David and Jennifer Skilton paid Philip Davidson £600 for their big day and admitted he seemed creepy.
The 39-year-old took photos of the Jennifer getting ready with her bridesmaid and 10-year-old flower girl.
But they weren’t told he’d been arrested on suspicion of having 527 clips - 108 hours long - a month before they hired him.
They only found out he’d been convicted last Thursday and were set to meet cops last night over fears of what photos he may have taken.
David, 33, said: “He was with my wife taking photos of her and the bridesmaid and a flower girl getting changed the morning of the wedding.
“It feels me with disgust. What photos was he taken and what we haven’t we seen.
“There were loads of other kids at the wedding.
“We thought he was creepy but didn’t think he was paedophile creepy."
David and Jennifer, of Walderslade, Kent got hitched at Knowle Country House, in Higham on March 19.
He added: "But they first time we met him was in January. We had him come to our house to sort out payments.
“I’m disgusted we had him in our house and we paid him after he’d been arrested.
“I contacted the police because I want to know if he did anything at our wedding.”
The couple also had to wait nine weeks to getting their wedding photos and they weren’t happy with the quality.
“He got annoyed because I was criticising his work,” David added
“I’m guessing this was the time it was all snowballing.
“We wouldn’t have had him if I’d know about what he’d done.”
Dad-of-two Davidson – also a bus driver - searched of terms like ‘baby rape’ and ‘three year f**k’ to find the sick clips.
They included kids as young as 18 months being subjected to vile sexual acts, including bondage and even involving a dog.
He downloaded them at his home.
The paedophile, of Rochester, Kent initially denied downloading any indecent images when police arrived at his home six days before Christmas last year.
But cops then found his three laptops.
He was jailed for a year and four months at Maidstone crown court last Thursday.
Judge Adele Williams said: "Those who commit offences such as these do not take account of the fact there are real children being subjected to real abuse in these images.
"Your offending is very serious because of the number of images and because of their extreme nature.
"The search terms you were using can leave no doubt about the sort of images you were seeking. Some of them were babies."
He was put on the sex offenders' register and banned from working with children.
