IF you came face-to-face with a deadly snake, you'd like to think that it'd be obvious.
But most of the slippery customers are masters of camouflage, and this eastern brown snake is no different.
The critter is lurking somewhere in this photo, taken by and then shared to the Aussie conservationists' Facebook page.
However, you'll need a keen eye to spot the serpent, which is buried beneath this pile of sticks and leaves.

And this incredible photo proves why the animals are so dangerous: they can seamlessly blend in with their surroundings to strike from nowhere.
At first, Facebook users couldn't spot the hidden critter, making the mistake of looking for a pair of snake eyes peering up from the bush.
But the snake is there alright, lurking just left of centre - although all you can see is part of the creature's body.
The snake experts who shared the photo were keen to point out that, despite the snake being extremely poisonous, it is usually spooked by humans and tends to be reluctant to attack.
But this isn't the first time we've all been caught out by a very sneaky snake.

Previously, we shared a photo which appears to show a typical back garden with an overgrown lawn, a wooden fence and a clothes horse.
There's an obvious hose in the photo - but there's also a snake hidden in there somewhere.
Many people struggled to spot the snake at first, making the mistake of looking for it at ground level.
If you look to the top right of the photo, you can spot the critter tucked away among the greenery growing over the fence.
