Police selling Lamborghini, yachts and designer watches in £1million loot auction in Belfast
Gold coins, jewellery, electrical goods and 20 properties across the UK and Europe will also go under the hammer at Wilsons auctioneers in Belfast, Northern Ireland
A LAMBORGHINI, two yachts and dozens of designer watches are among £1million worth of luxury goods once owned by criminals being sold off to the public today.
The haul was seized along with gold coins, jewellery and 20 properties in the UK and Europe under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
They will go under the hammer at Wilsons auctioneers in Belfast.
Bidders will be able to bag items for a fraction of their value price as there is no starting price.
Wilsons work with more than 40 police forces across the UK and all profits go back into the public purse.
The auction firm’s asset recovery manager Aidan Larkin said: “In recent years we have returned more than £85million to government coffers.”
Proceeds are shared between police, the Crown Prosecution Service, the courts and the Home Office.
