THE SNAKE ESCAPE

Four-foot PYTHON snapped slithering wild in London’s Battersea Park

Snake is suspected to have been released into the wild by a pet owner and has now been taken in by a zoo

A 4FT PYTHON proves an unlikely tourist attraction as it is caught on camera in London’s Battersea Park.

A jogger stumbled upon the the creature while out running on Thursday morning.

Branding expert Frances Martin-Isaacs, 42, reported it to a nearby zoo.

Animal bosses then caught the snake after confirming that it was a python.

It is believed to be a former pet that was released into the wild when it’s owner could no longer care for it.

The discovery came three months after a 3ft python was also found in the park.

In April a dad was bitten in a park in Hounslow by an adder which had slithered into his son's pushchair and needed hospital treatment.

And earlier this week specially trained snake catchers were called to a home in Dartford - but it turned out the woman had been spooked by a small catterpillar instead.
