Theresa May must ignore the siren calls from Remoaners, support Boris Johnson and move on with Brexit

BORIS Johnson has spoken for the 52 per cent who voted Leave and the many more won over since.

This is a moment of truth for Brexit . . . Theresa May must listen.

She must ignore the siren calls from Cabinet Remainers and their civil service allies who have seen a last chance to neuter the referendum verdict.

The political and media attacks on the Foreign Secretary are designed solely to discredit him and trash the optimistic vision of Brexit he shares with millions.

What else possessed David Norgrove, supposedly impartial head of the UK Statistics Authority, to publicly and wrongly criticise his claim that we would take back control of £350million a week?

That is the gross amount of our EU contributions before any rebate — and we WILL control every penny.

Where is Norgrove’s public assault on George Osborne’s Project Fear fantasy figures?

Or Jeremy Corbyn’s Magic Money Tree costings for that matter?

We must NOT sleepwalk into some Remoaner-friendly compromise, some pseudo-membership keeping us shackled to EU rules and court judgements.

We need a separate EU free trade deal and complete freedom to make others worldwide, like the one Canadian PM Justin Trudeau talked up yesterday.

We should walk out on anything less and take our chances. The EU has more to lose if talks collapse.

The Prime Minister must not flinch over Brexit. It is vital for her future and Britain’s.

A web of evil

FACEBOOK promotes evil over good. It is now that stark.

It bars ads from a charity helping the disabled.

Yet it hosts snuff videos promoting the homophobic, misogynistic, fascistic rapist child-murderers of IS.

Ex-CIA boss General David Petraeus rightly says terrorists flourish in the “largely ungoverned spaces” online.

That is partly because they are governed not by moderators, of whom there are far too few, but by software too rudimentary to tell good from bad.

But the problem goes deeper than amateurish coding. Often, hand-wringing, misguided social media execs imagine there is a free speech case for giving Islamists or their fans a platform.

Next time you call up your Facebook, remember that. Through incompetence and moral confusion, it is helping cut-throats take innocent lives.

AS clueless Remainers spread gloom, billionaires invest fortunes in Brexit Britain.

James Dyson brims with confidence.

Now chemicals tycoon Jim Ratcliffe is ploughing £650million into building a Land Rover Defender replacement.

He reckons it will create 10,000 jobs and turn out 25,000 cars a year.

Free from the EU, we can put our pedal to the metal.
