FLIPPIN' SPEED FINES

Van driver who said he wasn’t behind the wheel is sent picture of him giving ray gun cops the finger as he’s fined for speeding

Paul Walker, 52, had been caught over the limit a couple days before when he was clocked doing 58mph on a 50mph road

FURIOUS Paul Walker gives traffic cops the finger as they catch him speeding for a second time.

The dad of two, 52, was heading to work in his van when clocked doing 58mph in a 50mph zone.

He initially said he was not behind the wheel at the time — so police sent him the one-figure salute snap to prove it.

JPs in Hull ordered Paul to pay £390 in fines and costs and handed him six penalty points — on top of the £100 fine and three points he got in July.

The offshore engineer, of Grimsby, pictured below recreating the pose, said: “I was annoyed.

"They’re always hiding behind bushes with their ray guns. I wanted to wind him up so I gave him the finger.

“I just wish I could have seen the expression on his face.”

Paul was landed with a Band A offence but was still ordered to pay 50 per cent of his weekly wage by magistrates in Hull, East Yorkshire.

They ordered him to pay a £275 fine, plus £85 court costs and a £30 surcharge.

Paul added: "I’ve had a clean licence for years.

"The court said I could appeal but they also said the appeal court could increase the penalty."
