'THE QUEEN'S STATUE WILL TOPPLE'

London Bridge terror attacker’s close pal made shocking ISIS propaganda video about ‘liberating’ Windsor Castle

A CLOSE friend of the London Bridge terror attack made an ISIS propaganda video outside Windsor Castle threatening to topple a statute of Queen Victoria.

Taha Hussain, 21, and another friend filmed themselves in a car outside the royal residence and the nearby Coldstream Guards barracks as they yelled ISIS slogans and vowed to "liberate" Windsor.

Hussain was a close associate of Khuram Butt, 27, who led two other men on a van and knife rampage on London Bridge and Borough Market in June, killing eight people.

A source said that the pair were "close pals" and Hussain "could easily have gone on to be part of the same plot" had he not been arrested.

Apprentice panel beater Hussain, from Slough, ran two Youtube channels that he used to broadcast extremist material.

He also used the encrypted Whatsapp and Telegram messaging apps to disseminate documents and videos, including one called "Lions of the UK".

He and a friend, Faisal Ali, filmed each other in Windsor on the day after the Paris terror attacks in November 2015, the Old Bailey was told.

Video clips were found on his phone in which the men could be seen driving past the castle and listening to an Arabic chant while giggling in excitement.

Hussain says in the video: "See that place over there? Inshallah (God willing), we're going to [tear] up the British flag [replace it] with that of sharia inshallah, of the Emir al-Mumineen (Leader of the Faithful) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

"My dear brothers and sisters, it'll go down. You'll see the sharia over their own houses, alhamdulillah, alhmadulillah! (praise God)"

And he called the soldiers in Victoria Barracks "baby butchers" and "filthy kafir" (infidels).

Ali says: "As you can see here it says, recruiting now. Yeah, so is dawlah (ISIS)."

The pair also talked about tearing down statues and "liberating" Windsor.

On June 15 last year, Hussain took part in another drive-by video at the barracks of the 1st Battalion, Irish Guards in Hounslow, with Haroon Ali Syed.

Syed, 19, was jailed for life in July for plotting a terror attack on an Elton John concert in Hyde Park.

As they drove past the barracks both occupants of the car repeatedly shouted "Takbir, Allahu Akbar! (God is the greatest)"

The videos did not form part of the charges against Hussain but showed his "mindset" and his "hatred of the West and the British Army", the jury was told.

In court the apprentice panel beater claimed that he was in Windsor ";to feed the ducks".

Taha Hussain was found guilty of seven counts of disseminating terrorist publications and is awaiting sentence.

The jury at the Old Bailey was not told about his radical connections.

It can be revealed Hussain was an associate of the jailed hate preacher Anjem Choudary and was at a 2014 meeting with other senior lieutenants at a community centre in Slough that has since been closed down by police.

Hussain had been sending radical material to Mohammed Sufiyan Choudry, 23, from Maidenhead, an extremist preacher who was jailed in February after talking about lorries full of explosives being driven down Oxford Street.

Another recipient, former Asda worker Mohamed Abdulkadir Osman Mayow, 23, from Hayes, west London, was jailed the same month for spreading terrorist propaganda.

His contacts also included Omar Hussain, a Morrison's security guard from High Wycombe who fled Britain to join ISIS in Syria.
