Who is Liam Smyth and who’s the Bristol poo girl who got ‘stuck in a window trying to retrieve her poo on a Tinder date’?
A TINDER date sent social media into a frenzy after "a young woman got trapped trying to retrieve a POO she had accidentally thrown out in-between windows".
Did the fledgling couple end up meeting again or was it a dating disaster? Here's everything you need to know..
What happened during the infamous Bristol poo girl Tinder date?
Tinderfella Liam Smyth, 24, said he had been on a date with a young woman from the dating app in a Nandos.
Things began promisingly as the blossoming couple ended up back at his house for a "bottle of wine and scientology documentary".
But the mood changed when she was unable to flush a faeces down the toilet.
Panicking, she "wrapped it in tissue paper, and threw it out of the window".
Due to a "design quirk", Liam explained there's two double glazed windows and a gap in-between.
"It was into this twilight zone that my date had thrown her poo", he claimed, unfortunately.
"Being an amateur gymnast, she was convinced that she could reach into the window and pull the poo out."
He told how his date climbed in and ended up "trapped upside down for 15 minutes".
He added: "Unfortunately for my date, at this stage I could see only one way out of our predicament."
Like the scene in movie Something About Mary, when Ted has an unfortunate accident, he called the fire service.
Did the Bristol poo girl meet up with Liam for a second date?
Incredibly, Liam revealed that not only did the loved-up pair finish their bottle of wine on the fateful night – but they met up for date number two.
Speaking to , Liam said: "We did actually finish the bottle of wine and decided to call it a night there.
"She was a really, really lovely girl. I had a great night, we had a lot in common, had really good conversation and I met up with her again for a drink briefly afterwards."
Asked if he would see the girl again, he added: "Well I'm really busy with my dissertation at the moment but as to what the future holds, I don't know but she was certainly a very, very nice girl."
Since then he revealed he has been "friendzoned" by the unnamed woman and is still looking for love.
Did it actually happen?
Yes, it appears so. Avon Fire and Rescue told Sun Online the events on August 7 are "100 per cent true" - and they even retrieved the girl's poo.
And one firefighter Chris Crothers, who attended, said the crew would be telling the story for the "rest of our lives".
He said: "She was quite open about the whole thing – I think by then she had gone passed the point of embarrassment.
"We see strange things all the time, but this certainly has to be one of the strangest ."
Chris described how they had to gently lower her out after removing a pane of glass.
What did the woman say?
His date broke her silence in a Reddit post, describing it as the "worst Tinder date ever".
The 24-year-old, who has adopted the nickname "Shirehampton s**t slinger" revealed she "was literally on my knees cringing and apologising" to Liam.
She said: "It was a panic response and within seconds I knew I'd made a terrible mistake.
"[Liam] he was so good about it though, just laughed with me rather than at me.
"It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to say."
Why is there a Go Fund Me page?
The student launched a to raise cash for a replacement window.
He had a target of just £200 but has raised more than £2,700.
Excess funds raised by the appeal will be donated to clean water charity Toilet Twinning and The Fire Fighter's Charity.
