Coleen Rooney pictured for the first time since showdown with Wayne after ringing party girl to demand ‘blow-by-blow’ account of their boozy night that ended in drink-drive shame
FURIOUS Coleen Rooney has been pictured for the first time since her showdown with Wayne, having called the girl at the centre of her husband's drink-drive shame to demand: “Tell me the truth.”
Pregnant mum-of-three Coleen, 31, had a tense five-minute chat with Laura Simpson, 29, yesterday having jetted home from her sunny holiday in Majorca before fleeing to her parents' home.
The pair had got a taxi from the club to pick up Laura's VW Beetle, which Wayne was driving when police stopped them over a broken brake light.
The footballer was reportedly three times the legal limit, and Laura later faced a difficult phone call from his wife Coleen when she learned of his arrest.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “She asked me to tell her what happened.
“She seemed unhappy with the fact that we had left a nightclub in a cab together to go to my car.
“She did say both of us were at fault for getting in the taxi and that we shouldn’t have done that.”
The mum-of-three fled to her parents' home after the scandal, with her white Range Rover seen parked outside their Huyton pad.
The home is around 40 minutes away from her Cheshire family home where Wayne is holed up.
Coleen first made contact with Laura on Instagram while still in Majorca on holiday with her and Rooney’s three sons.
Then at 1pm yesterday she called to demand a blow-by-blow account of the boozy night out.
Laura said: “She was polite. She asked whether my car was parked outside the nightclub.
“I told her it wasn’t and that it was outside a friend’s house and we had got a taxi to it.
“She asked, ‘Was your car not outside the front?’.
“I told her the truth, that it wasn’t and that we had left in a cab together to get my car which was parked outside a friend’s.
I apologised to her and she said, ‘You have nothing to say sorry for’.”
Coleen had confronted her husband yesterday, screaming at him: "How could you do this to me while I'm pregnant?
"How could you be so stupid?"
Enraged Coleen, who was supported by her mum, broke down in tears during the fight at the couple's Cheshire home.
But friends said they believed Coleen would give her husband one last chance.

Coleen had quizzed Laura, of Irlam, Gtr Manchester, about claims Everton ace Rooney had ogled her boobs before they kissed.
Laura has admitted he admired her boobs and asked what size they were.
She added: “He asked if they were real and said, ‘I’d like to get my hands on them’.”
She also claimed: “Was I going to spend the night with him? Yes, perhaps. We hadn’t really discussed it. We just wanted to be away from all those prying eyes.”
But she insisted to Coleen that “nothing like that happened”.
Laura, who has a young daughter, spilled the beans on how her girls’ night out ended in shame for the ex-England captain.
She had arranged to meet a female mate at the Carters Arms pub in Wilmslow, Cheshire, before leaving her ten-year-old £4,500 black VW Beetle outside her pal’s home in a nearby street.
The pair got a taxi to the Bubble Room in Alderley Edge where they met another female friend and downed prosecco.
Rooney was also in the bar listening to a band with his ex-Manchester United team-mate Wes Brown and charity worker Thomas Campbell — a relative of former Everton striker Kevin Campbell.
But the two groups did not cross paths until Laura and her mates went on to the Symposium club in Wilmslow, owned by Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor Dawson.
Laura, who was wearing black leather trousers, white T-shirt and had her hair in a high ponytail, said: “I wasn’t planning on going out that night but then I got in touch with a mate and agreed to drive over to her in Wilmslow and go out for a couple of drinks.
“I dropped my car off at her house and we got a taxi to Bubble. I didn’t see Wayne in there but it was busy and loud.
“We got a bottle of prosecco and sat by the bar. We were joined by another friend and after about an hour we decided to go to Symposium. We got a cab outside and arrived around midnight.”
As the girls sank another three bottles of prosecco and ordered tequilas they attracted the attention of Rooney and his boozy pals — now including Burnley defender Phil Bardsley's brother Josh.
Laura added: “It’s only a small place so when it fills up, everyone gets pushed together.
“We had some drinks on a table near the bar and Wayne and his friends started talking to us. We were all talking to each other rather than anything one-on-one.
“I was drunk at this point because I’m a lightweight, but I think Wayne was just bantering and asked how I was and where I was from and things like that.
“He’s a typical lad and said I looked nice. He wasn’t lecherous but he didn’t mention anything about his wife or his family.
“I’m a United fan but I don’t really follow football so we didn’t chat about that either. He joked about me being a lightweight because I didn’t do a shot.”
As the girls discussed taking a taxi into Manchester, Thomas Campbell leaned into Laura and said: “If you get a taxi, get in one and go and pick up Wayne round the back.”
She said: “I was going to get a taxi back to my friend’s as I was going to sleep there, but me and Wayne did share a look, which I guess meant, ‘OK, fine’.
“His friend went downstairs to the taxi rank and spoke to a cabbie and then came back into the club and told me the car was ready.
"I went downstairs, got in the front seat and the driver drove round to the back. We waited a couple of minutes and then Wayne appeared and got in.”
The pair travelled one mile to Laura’s friend’s house, with Roo paying the driver cash.
Laura continued: “We got out and stood by the car. I said we couldn’t go to my friend’s house as she lives with her dad. I was too drunk to drive and he said, ‘Don’t worry, I can drive’, so I said, ‘OK, let’s go to mine’.”
Wayne began the 30-minute journey from Wilmslow to Laura's home, 21 miles away.
But just five minutes later they were pulled over by cops.
Laura said: “Wayne didn’t seem paralytic and said he was fine. His driving seemed OK, but then we went past a police car as it was about to pull out.
“It came out behind us and followed us. We both thought we saw flashing lights so Wayne slowed down and pulled up.”
After Rooney failed a breath test and was arrested, one of the officers agreed to drive Laura back to her friend’s house in her Beetle.
She was not asked to give a police statement or questioned. Laura said: “Wayne was quite calm, but inside he must have been terrified.
He kept saying to ‘stay calm’ and ‘not to worry’.
Once back in Wilmslow she hailed another cab and joined pals at Manchester’s 235 casino, where Rooney first met hooker Jennifer Thompson.
Last night Laura said she hoped the Rooneys could work through their marriage woes. She said: “I don’t wish either of them any ill-will and I didn’t plan to get caught up in any of this.
“I guess Wayne needs to explain why he sneaked out the back of a nightclub to get in a cab with me — and what he thought would happen when we got back to mine.
“I’m a single girl, but if that was my husband, I’d be really angry.”
