Wayne Rooney ‘was driving brunette office worker, 29, home in her black VW Beetle when cops arrested him for drink-driving after boozy night with ex-Manchester United teammates’
EX-England captain Wayne Rooney was taking a mystery brunette home in her car when he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, it has been claimed.
The Everton striker was pulled over by cops at 2am this morning while at the wheel of a 29-year-old office worker’s black VW Beetle following a night out with footballing pals, it has been reported.

Rooney, 31, is thought to have been three times the limit when police stopped him in Cheshire.
claims superstar Rooney, who is set to become a dad for the fourth time, offered to drive the unnamed woman home because she was "too drunk to drive" following the "all night session" with pals.
But instead he spent the night in the cells after partying in the Bubble Room in Alderley Edge — just five miles from he and pregnant wife Coleen's £6million mansion in Prestbury.
The £150k-a-week striker was reportedly seen singing Oasis hits with ex-United teammate Wes Brown in the popular celeb haunt.
Witnesses said he was "visibly drunk" and was being "friendly" and "nice to people", according to — while others told Rooney was dancing on tables and singing along to a live cover band.
Earlier at around 4pm he had been seen eating in nearby Italian restaurant Piccolino.
After partying into the small hours at Bubble Room, the group moved on to "late-night" cocktail bar Symposium in Wilmslow — owned by Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor-Dawson — two miles away.
The actor, who plays Darren Osborne and is one of the soap's longest-serving cast members, opened the cocktail bar in October.
Manager George Yiannis told The Sun that Rooney had a "good time" there.
“I know I didn't serve him a drink and I'm not sure if anyone else did but as far as I know he didn't drink in here", he said.
“Whether he'd been drinking somewhere else is a different thing. I heard he went to The Bubble Room then came here.
“He had his night out and he left but I'm not too sure what time as I was so busy behind the bar.
“Then I woke up to the news that he had been done for drink driving.
“It isn't a great thing to do and we wouldn't encourage anyone to do it."
A woman who was at Piccolino told The Sun Online: "There was a group of girls in there celebrating a birthday, the girl who's birthday it was happened to me Jessica Ireland, the wife of the footballer Stephen Ireland.
"Also part of the birthday group was Carla Higgs Kompany, Vincent Kompany's wife.
"[Wayne and his group] were making the waiters take over shots to the girls, and Wes Brown also shared a shot with the girls at their table."
Rooney was then stopped while driving the VW motor on Altrincham Road and arrested at 2am this morning.
"Wayne Rooney, aged 31, of Collar House Drive, Prestbury, has been charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit", a police statement released this afternoon said.
He has been released on bail and is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on 18 September — the day after Everton play United at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
Wearing the same clothes, Rooney was pictured today with his hood up leaving Middlewich custody suite.
He arrived home just before 2.25pm. He was swiftly driven through the opening gates of his mansion as reporters waited outside.
Rooney had only just stood down from England duty last week after topping his country's goal scoring record with 53 in 119 appearances.

And he made a dream move to rejoin his boyhood club Everton this summer after 13 successful years at Manchester United.
He played in the club's first loss of the season against Chelsea on Sunday — when he was yellow carded for dissent.
But speaking after the 2-0 away defeat, Rooney said that he felt "good" and was looking forward to "a good rest".
Singer Neil Shaw Hulme performed at Bubble Bar last night with band Funky Treacle and played Oasis classic Wonderwall to the rowdy crowd.
He told The Sun: "There were a lot of people in there last night drinking and it was a particularly vibrant crowd.
"When we did what was going to be the last number - Mr Blue Sky - they were actually booing all the way through because they wanted Oasis so we did do Wonderwall.
"People were singing their heads off, it was actually quite funny.
"Everyone was happy when we played it."
Neil said he didn't see Rooney at the bar but admitted he wouldn't recognise him anyway.
Wayne's former England teammates are preparing for tonight's World Cup qualifier clash with Malta.
News of his alleged arrest comes after wife Coleen, 31, announced she was pregnant with her and Wayne's fourth child last month.
This is not the first time allegations about the England striker's boozing antics have hit the headlines.
In November last year Rooney was pictured slumped on a sofa with bloodshot eyes and wine-stained lips after crashing a wedding party, The Sun exclusively revealed.
Guests at the event had described the footballer as "paralytic" after partying until 5am following an England win over Scotland.
An eyewitness at The Grove hotel in Watford said: "Wayne was in the bar with members of the FA, drinking beer and red wine.
"He was really s***-faced."

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has also claimed that when he had dinner with Rooney and wife Coleen in 2012 the star was so drunk he tumbled into an olive tree pot.
But not all of Wayne's reported drunken antics have been harmless.
That year Wayne was also fined £250,000 and dropped from Manchester United’s New Year’s Eve match after arriving for training looking “worse for wear”.
Then, after England’s disastrous Euro 2016 campaign, Wayne took time out on a yacht off Ibiza.
While on the holiday he was pictured taking a tumble after apparently sinking one too many sangrias.
Rooney has also been the subject of scandal following accusations he has cheated on Coleen with prostitutes.
Former romps include former call girl and Big Brother winner Helen Wood who reportedly had a threesome with the ex Man United star and pal Jenny Thompson back in 2010 — while Coleen was pregnant with his son.
In 2004 it was reported he had also visited a 48-year-old grandmother known as "Auld Slapper" at a £45-a-time Liverpool brothel.
His mishaps are in stark contrast to his on-the-pitch dominance over the years.
Rooney first played for England as a fresh-faced 17-year-old against Australia at Upton Park in February 2003.
The first of his record haul of goals arrived in September that year when he bagged against Macedonia.
The following summer he introduced himself to the whole world with an explosive display at Euro 2004, a tournament many feel England would have won if the striker was not forced to pull out through injury.
Unfortunately he has never been able to match those displays at a European Championship or World Cup since - but his status as an England legend was undeniable.
He finally overtook Sir Bobby Charlton as the country's all-time top scorer when he netted against Switzerland in September 2015.
Rooney replaced David Beckham as the most-capped outfield player 12 months later against Slovakia - ahead of which he announced his plan to retire from England after the 2018 World Cup.
