Boris Johnson’s lets his notes get snapped after meeting with Theresa May at No10 (but can you read his handwriting?)
The Foreign Secretary flashed scribbles on documents as he left Downing Street this afternoon - but most of it is hard to make out
BORIS JOHNSON has become the latest politician to be caught out by having his notes snapped by photographers outside No 10.
The Foreign Secretary flashed scribbles on documents as he left Downing Street this afternoon - but most of it is hard to make out.
He was snapped going into No10 for meetings this morning, and left again a few hours later.
The politician's notes appear to be discussing Brexit, with legible phrases including "implementation", "period of" and "Labor says 4 years".
But it appeared he spelled 'Labour' wrong.
Ministers have agreed on the need for a transition deal to implement our EU exit, but have yet to say how long is should be.
Labour has called for Britain to stay in the single market during this time, as talks in Brussels continue over the nitty gritty detail about our exit.
But asked how long the transitional period for the single market and customs union would last, Jeremy Corbyn admitted: “I don't know what the length of it would be, I think we should simply say as long as it's necessary.”
And he's not the only politician to have fallen foul to the cameras waiting outside No10.
Back in July Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt exposed some of his notes on the NHS and claims workers were "fleeing the UK" because of a hard Brexit.
And last year handwritten notes carried by an aide to Mark Field MP claimed a negotiating strategy was to "have cake and eat it".
Theresa May's plans to approve new grammar schools were also leaked in a memo last year, after they were taken in to a meeting by a civil servant.
BoJo's slip up comes after Theresa May was forced into saying she had full confidence in her Foreign Secretary today - after a damning newspaper report claiming he was a "joke" on the world stage.
