Two clips were uploaded to Facebook over the weekend and have now been watched over 258,000 times.

The first video begins outside the restaurant in the heart of the Scottish town last Thursday.

A group of people are seen brawling at the counters of the McDonald’s while staff look on.

Workers attempted to intervene but the scrapping continues.

Another customer is seen sitting at a table eating his meal, urging those involved to stop.

The fighting then makes its way behind the counters with McDonald’s staff being herded back while punches and kicks are thrown by the louts.

The second shows that the fighting spilled outside into Reform Street.

A man, who’s seen in the early clip fighting with others, walks down the street before coming back up towards the restaurant.

He picks ups a chair and throws it at another man.

They then scuffle on the ground before a police car arrives.

Officers get out, bringing the brawl to an end and are spotted talking to those involved.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A 20 year old man and 17 year old woman have been charged over this incident.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

McDonald’s has been contacted by the Scottish Sun for comment.
