The solar eclipse and North Korea nuclear threats mean the world will end TODAY, say conspiracy theorists
THE world will apparently end today according to conspiracy theorists who predict the US and North Korea will bring a global apocalypse.
Large parts of America will experience a total solar eclipse later today for the first time in nearly a century.
But believers warn the eclipse will be a "sign of a confrontation between the US and North Korea" leading to World War 3 - a signal of the apocalypse's beginning, reported.
According to Christian numerologist David Meade - the end of times is nigh.
The conspiracy theorist points to a Bible passage in the Old Testament book of Isaiah which reads: "The Stars of Heaven and their constellations will not show their light.
"The rising Sun will be darkened and the Moon will not give its light.
"See, the Day of the Lord is coming – a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger – to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.
Despite a lack of evidence, Meade claims the passage is connected to "33 Convergence" - a number which indicated the end times were upon us.
He said: "When the eclipse begins on August 21, the sunrise will be dark, just as Isaiah predicts.
"The Moon involved is called a black moon. These occur about every 33 months. In the Bible, the divine name of Elohim appears 33 times in Genesis.
Earlier this year, Meade - author of "Planet X – The 2017 Arrival" - claimed mythical planet Nibiru will appear in the skies on September 23, 2017 and then crash into us in October.

Fears have been sending conspiracy theorists into a frenzy after South Korea and their American allies began massive military drills as Kim Jong-un warns the “reckless” actions could trigger a nuclear war.
The Ulchi Freedom Guardian drills are largely computer-simulated war games held every summer.
But North Korea views the annual exercise as a highly provocative rehearsal for a possible invasion of their territory.
Pyongyang’s state media called the drills a “reckless” move that could trigger the “uncontrollable phase of a nuclear war”.
The North tested two intercontinental ballistic missiles last month that appeared to bring much of the US mainland within firing range of the rogue state.
It sparked an intense war of words between the two sides that included a direct threat against the US’ overseas territory of Guam – which is home to an American military base.
The planned rocket salvo was delayed by the North Korean leader last week but he warned it could go ahead depending on Washington’s next move.
