Amir Khan’s huge wealth laid bare as he faces prospect of bitter divorce row with Faryal and fight to keep his £30million boxing cash, £700,000 cars, £1.6million mansion, property empire and bling
The boxer has been plunged into a bitter spat with his estranged wife and mother of his child.
AMIR Khan is facing a bitter row with his estranged wife over his stunning £30million property empire, flash cars and boxing payday cash.
The boxer, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, has accumulated a whopping amount of cash during his career - having reportedly pocketed £9million alone from his most recent fight with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
But with Khan having been pictured this morning without his wedding ring just days after saying on social media he would divorce Faryal Makhdoom, the boxer is preparing for a different kind of fight than he's used to.
Boasting £700,000 worth of flash cars, a £1.6million mansion, a fight purse nearing £20million over his career and major paydays from broadcasters during his media appearances, Khan's wealth is thought to be in the region of £30million.
He also runs a property empire, with investments across the north west, and heads a boxing promotions company.
Khan has also been sponsored by Adidas, Reebok and Topman, further adding to his wealth.
Only this morning he was showing off his new gold Rolex - however now all this cash is now up for grabs, with a divorce battle just around the corner.
Boxing paydays
Amir Khan has made his living as a boxer, having broken onto the scene in 2004 when he won the silver medal in the lightweight division at the Olympics.
After becoming the UK's youngest Olympic medal winner at the age of just 17, he was always set to enjoy a promising career.
And that career has seen him bring in millions in fight purses, alongside the attached TV fees.
His most profitable fight was against Canelo Alvarez during the WBC middleweight title fight at T-Mobile Arena on May 7, 2016. He reportedly earned a whopping £9million from the match alone.
His bouts against Danny Garcia and Carlos Molina, both in 2012, saw him earn an extra £700,000 per fight.
And his clash with Julio Diaz at the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena netted him a further £460,000.
Khan's flash cars
Khan has never been shy about showing off his wealth.
His social media pages are littered with pictures of his with flash vehicles - including a Lamborghini Murcielago, reportedly worth £270,000.
His Bolton mansion
Khan has only last month put his swanky Bolton home up for sale.
It's on the market for £1.6million, featuring a massive swimming pool and sauna.
His businesses, media profile and other income
Khan operates a lucrative boxing promotion company and gym.
However he has also accumulated large amounts of cash through his media appearances.
During London 2012 he was a key analyst for the BBC, and said of his TV work: "I came across well, I thought.
"I had a lot of Twitter messages coming through saying I was good on TV."
Khan also owns various properties throughout the north west.
He said of his property empire: "My properties are like a pension to me, which is going to support me after my career. It’s going to keep me going.
"I live a normal life, but it’s there for my family and my kids one day, to have a good life, an easy life. That’s the reason I got into the property business.
"You can’t really go wrong with property either. It’s always going to be there and people are always going to need houses. It’s a wise move."
