Dad of disabled Celtic superfan Jay Beatty, 13, lashes out at troll who penned vile song saying boy ‘won’t see ten in a row’

Martin Beatty branded the vile slur posted by Freddy Heron 'disgusting'

THE dad of Celtic superfan Jay Beatty has slammed an internet troll for posting a sick song about his disabled son on Twitter.

Jay, 13, who has Down's Syndrome, was mocked in the vile tweet which read "wee jay beatty won't see ten in a row".

His dad, Martin, branded the vile slur posted by Freddy Heron "disgusting".

The tweet, which mocked the Hoops chant 'This Is How It Feels To Be Celtic', also read "paedophiles again and you know".

Distraught Martin blasted Heron saying: "A Perfect day... just totally ruined... such a disgusting song to sing... gutted."

Martin's comment was shared over 800 times on Facebook, as fans rallied to support the family.

It came after Brendan Rodgers men 4-1 at Parkhead.

Fans said they were "saddened" by the hateful tweet.

@timtimbelgium said: "Jay is loved by thousands of people. Something that individual will never experience. Stay strong , love always beats hate , always."

While Joe McKenna commented on Facebook: "Very saddened that you have to face this in any capacity Martin. The fight to enlighten people about the world of additional/special needs is never ending."

And John Jo Ó Gallchóir added: "There's no point getting angry by it... their own hate will chew them up and spit them out."

The high profile boy, who has Down's Syndrome,for Celtic to win six successive titles online at Christmas last year.
