Magaluf cops fine TWENTY-TWO people for having sex in public as they crack down on randy Brits’ drunken debauchery

TWENTY-TWO people have been fined for having sex in public in Magaluf so far this summer, it was revealed today.

Police issued the on-the-spot fines as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour by holidaymakers in the resort.

Magaluf has been trying to clean up its image with new laws targeting drunkenness and loutishness.

Calvia town hall, which overseas local police in the resort, released figures showing 52 people were fined in June and July for public nakedness while 22 were fined for having sex in the street.

Another 46 were fined for breaches of public security.

Local police have also been cracking down on street sellers peddling tat to holidaymakers in the resort, fining 651 people in June. Officials say many street sellers are also involved in drug dealing.

Police arrested 18 drug dealers in June and July, the officials said.

A police source said: "We’re taking a zero-tolerance approach to this kind of anti-social behaviour, which is unacceptable and ruins holidays for decent people."

Magaluf, on the Spanish island of Majorca, has long held a reputation for attracting young Brits seeking cheap drink and casual sex.

In 2014 locals were outraged when a video of a young woman performing sex acts on dozens of strangers in a nightclub in the resort went viral.

It was reported that women were being offered free drinks for winning sex competitions in nightclubs.
