SCOTTISH Tory boss Ruth Davidson mocked Theresa May by posing in a wheat field after the Prime Minister said running through one was the “naughtiest thing she’s ever done”.
On a visit to a city farm the top Conservative saw a patch of the crop and couldn’t resist getting a picture to poke fun at her boss.
But Ms Davidson confessed that the impromptu stunt even made her feel “naughty”.
During the election campaign Mrs May was widely mocked for revealing her not so wild side.
In an interview with ITV she was asked to detail the “naughtiest thing she’d ever done”.
Stuttering, she began: “Oh goodness me. Um. Well, I suppose – gosh. Do you know, I’m not quite sure.”
Pressed by the presenter Julie Etchingham she stalled, saying “nobody is ever perfectly behaved, are they”.
But she finally spilled the beans, adding: “I have to confess, when me and my friend, sort of, used to run through the fields of wheat – the farmers weren’t too pleased about that.”
As well as inspiring thousands of column inches, the anecdote even inspired a computer game called “Come What May” - where the aim was to guide the PM through a field, avoiding Jeremy Corbyn-shaped scarecrows.
Yesterday Ms Davidson recreating the moment on a visit to Edinburgh's Gorgie City Farm, posting the pictures to Twitter.
Alongside the image she wrote: “I was encouraged to run through their field of wheat. Naughty.”
One response said: “Trolling your own leader @RuthDavidsonMSP ? Very naughty.”
During an interview last week, when asked what the naughtiest thing she had ever done was, Ms Davidson said: “My mother would not like to see it in print.”
She later added: “Let’s just say, I did inhale.”
Former First Minister, Alex Salmond who also mocked May by getting snapped next to a wheat field saying he was “tempted to be naughty”.
Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn also responded to May’s comments by saying the naughtiest thing he has ever done is “far too naughty to say.”
