Inside Mel Gibson’s Medieval-style Malibu manor in California that’s up for sale for £13.3million complete with Braveheart-inspired fireplaces and beams
INCREDIBLE pictures have emerged showing the inside of Mel Gibson’s plush £13.3million pad near Los Angeles after the star put it up for sale.
The Lethal Weapon actor, 61, has decided to move out of the medieval-style Malibu manor after some nine years of living there.
The description provided by the estate agent describes the castle-like California property as “a kind ‘Old World’ estate”.
And stunning snaps released online reveal stone fireplaces, wooden rafters and imposing iron chandeliers that would not look out of place in one of the actor’s historical period films.
Turrets that could have come straight from the Braveheart set look out across the mansion’s sprawling 5.5-acre grounds and to the ocean beyond.
The listing reads: “Unlike anything you have ever experienced.
“Pass through a private gate down a long driveway to a truly one of a kind ‘Old World’ estate on nearly 5.5 acres.
“This magnificent and secluded property includes a stunning five bedroom main house with enchanting outdoor living areas, plus a detached guest house and separate pool house/gym.”
HOUSING A MYSTERY: These houses all look normal from the outside… but each one hides an incredible secret
The estate agent adds: “Stone archways lead you down a magically lit pathway to a private sun deck and two pools.”
The spacious 6,578 sq ft home – which also boasts five bathrooms – also comes with rights to use the nearby exclusive La Costa Beach and Tennis Club.
But despite the mansion’s “Old World” feel, it was actually relatively new, having only been built in 1996.
It was previously owned by X-files star David Duchovny and his then girlfriend Téa Leoni.
Gibson bought the pad for around £8.8million in 2008.
