Girl, 10, ‘offered drugs and pal was quizzed about sex’ during induction day at new secondary school
Police have launched a probe after Faith White said a pupil offered her 'drugs and weed'
A 10-YEAR-OLD girl was left frightened after allegedly being offered drugs during a secondary school induction day and her friend was quizzed about sex.
Police have launched an investigation after Faith White said a pupil at the Noel-Baker Academy in Derby approached her and offered her "drugs and weed" during the event.
Faith, who attends Oakwood Junior School in the city, has vowed to never return to Noel-Baker again.
The youngster has given a statement to police, who say they are working with the school on the investigation.
Her mum, Julie White, said her daughter would now be attending a different secondary school.
Faith, of Alvaston, Derby, said: "Me and my friend were in the tennis court during a break in the day when a boy came up to me and asked whether I wanted drugs and weed and had a bag with him.

"It was totally out of the blue. Another pupil asked my friend a sexual question which I heard.
"I felt scared and told a teacher quickly what had happened.
It was worrying because this was the first time I had been to the school."
The incident took place on July 17.
A spokesman for the police said they were called shortly after 4pm on that day.
Ms White said: "I really panicked when I heard what had happened.
"She's only 10-years-old, I was really concerned and worried.
"It really upset Faith as well.
"She wasn't herself and doesn't want to go back there anymore and I'm now looking to get her into another secondary school.
"It's out of order."
Noel-Baker Academy acting head teacher Geoff Wilson said: “The academy is cooperating fully with the police as they investigate this alleged incident.
"We operate a zero tolerance environment in relation to any banned substance in line with our behaviour policy."
Sergeant Christopher Thornhill, from Derbyshire police, said: “Shortly after 4pm on Monday, July 17 we received reports that a 10-year-old girl had been offered what she believed to be a controlled substance at the Noel-Baker Academy in Derby.
“We are in contact with the girl, her family and the school and are continuing to investigate.”
