Fast food fan’s horror at discovering a giant dead MOTH inside her McDonald’s chicken wrap

A FAST-FOOD diner was left disgusted when she opened her lunch - only to find what appeared to be a large dead moth lurking inside.
The woman, who did not want to be named, went to McDonald's in Aberdare, Wales, as a midweek “treat” with friends on Thursday.
But when she opened her chicken wrap, she was disgusted to find the insect.
She said: “I only opened the wrap to take the salad out, otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered.
“Obviously you don’t tend to check for things like that do you? I just saw it and said ‘What the hell is that?’ and the girls all came over to look and screamed. I just felt sick.”
She said she spoke to staff at the store who offered her a replacement meal, which she “obviously turned down”, before refunding her the £2.99.

Saying she’d never seen anything like it, she added: “I will never go again.”
A McDonald’s spokeswoman said: “Food quality and safety are of the utmost importance to us and we place great emphasis on quality control, following rigorous standards in order to avoid any imperfections, and it seems this time we didn’t quite meet those standards.
“As soon as this matter was brought to our attention the restaurant team launched an internal investigation and found no other products were affected. The restaurant team apologised and offered a full refund.”
