Dad smashes Olympic champ Sir Mo Farah’s 100-metre sack race record

A DAD of two has smashed Sir Mo Farah’s world record for the 100-metre sack race.
Graphic designer Stephen Wildish, 36, hopped the distance in 28.1 seconds on a track.
Olympics hero Sir Mo, 34, was taking part in a fun day for kids when he set his record of 39.9 seconds in 2014.
Stephen now faces a nervous wait of up to 12 weeks for Guinness World Records to validate his athletic feat.
The dad has bragged for years about his “undefeated” record in the sack race since his school days, where he was reigning champion.
But he decided to stage an official record attempt at an athletics track in Swindon, Wilts, after being challenged by his pals.
Stephen, who practised in a field behind his home, said: “I told people I always won the sack race at school.
“I’ve even got a video of me arrogantly stopped just before the winning line, waiting for the others.
“Someone said recently ‘put your money where your mouth is’.
“I went down to the local school, where they’ve got a 100-metre track marked out and I smashed Mo Farah’s record.
“I’ve told everyone that I have always been the best. Now they’ll believe me.”
Four-time Olympic gold medallist Farah set his record during a children’s sports day at the Olympic Village in London in July 2014.
